Antwerp to host rock spectaculars

Fans of vintage rock and pop will be in for a treat if they opt for a ferry trip to Antwerp next year.

A whole host of stars are set to visit the Belgian city in 2009, with lovers of Metallica able to catch the rock gods on May 3rd.

The band will be storming through a collection of past hits and material taken from new album Death Magnetic when they take to the stage in Antwerp.

If that is not enough to quench the thirst of a classic rock enthusiast, AC/DC are back after an eight year break and will be performing in the city on March 1st and 3rd.

Hot on the heels of critically acclaimed album Black Ice, the veteran foot-tapping five-piece will return with their usual combination of high-octane riffs and eye-popping live antics.

Meanwhile, for those more inclined to pop, Tina Turner will be dusting off her stage gear to perform in Antwerp on January 23rd.
