Ferries to France: Antwerp is multicultural hub
12.02.2010
People taking ferries to france are close to a city which is a multicultural centre, according to one resident who has fallen in love with the destination since moving there.Dulce Alvarez told Spottedbylocals.com about the attractions of Antwerp and she believes it can sometimes be overlooked for its more famous neighbours.
"There is something magical about it but I still have not found out exactly what that is, although I have a very good theory: it is the place where art, history, proud Antwerpians and shops meet," she stated.
The Mexican writer added that there is great food to be enjoyed in the local restaurants which can be found dotted around the city.
Holidaymakers who want to have a shop while on a break in Antwerp are in a city that is full of classy boutiques which feel like Carnaby Street, Covent Garden and Bond Street rolled into one, according to the Guardian.
