14.01.2010
Lots of women could soon be taking ferries to france in order to escape World Cup fever once it hits the UK, according to one expert, who said that football overload can be alienating for some people.Travel guru, Chris Brown, believes that many women are considering taking breaks in countries that are not involved in the competition, like Belgium, so they do not have to deal with all the soccer.
"By taking your summer break in a country that didn"t qualify for the World Cup, there is less chance in getting caught up in the football fever, and more of a chance to relax and enjoy your holiday," he said.
As Belgium crashed out in qualifying, women could take a ferry to france before heading onto Antwerp, which has amazing shopping areas.
People taking ferries to France before going to Antwerp can take part in the Beer Passion festival, which brings together some of the best tipples from across Belgium.
