18.08.2009
Families getting ferries to france will be taking their tent with them and bedding down at a campsite in the country this year in an attempt to cut their holiday costs.Recent figures from the Camping and Caravanning Club show the group has seen an increase in membership, while travel company Take the Family says even reluctant campers are pitching up for the night.
People getting ferries to France will find camping exciting, spontaneous and special, said Lucy Ace, managing director of the company.
"Kids love the freedom it brings them and spending their time outdoors playing and more often than not making friends with fellow campers," the expert added.
Posh camping also means that people who are not used to getting back to nature can sample the trend with their home comforts around them.
Families camping after getting ferries to France will find they are in good company, with Ms Ace saying it is mainly families adopting the trend as they are feeling the pinch more.
