Cross channel ferries go to value slopes

People taking cross channel ferries to france are near to ski resorts which are offering visitors more value for money as they try to compete in the economic downturn, according to new research.Post Office Travel Service"s annual Ski Resort Report showed that many top destinations are reducing the cost of hiring ski kit and other items in order to remain competitive.
"France also rates highly for value according to the Post Office report, despite the high euro foreign exchange rate, with Courchevel resort cutting prices by up to 24 per cent since last year"s report," the organisation stated.
The report added Europe still offers British holidaymakers great value for money and attractive deals, as long as they shop around.
Higher than normal snowfall in France has brought fans of wintersports flocking to slopes in the country, according to the Independent which reported that 20ins of snow fell in the past week alone.
