27.10.2009
People taking a trip to France via ferry may want to stay in a northern area of the country which has been described as a haven for culinary delights by one website.Travelbite.co.uk"s Chris O"Toole visited the Franche Comté region and said that the most difficult part of staying there is choosing which dishes to eat at meal time.
"Nestled against the Swiss border in the east of France, Franche Comté is a culinary haven with a host of undiscovered gourmet gems; just selecting what to taste can take hours," he said.
The region"s cheese is another attraction and the writer said that the village of Bouverans is a production hub for the food and some farmers allow people to milk their cows and join in the process.
Financial Times journalist John Sunyer recently said that Brittany has some brilliant cycle paths which could provide biking enthusiasts taking ferries to france with something to keep them busy.
