Cross channel ferries: Good snowfall boosts continental slopes

09.02.2010
People taking ferries to france are close to ski resorts that have experienced good snowfall of late, according to one newspaper, which said the same is true in other countries on the continent.

The Guardian reported that snow is forecast to fall over a number of resorts in France, which could interest people thinking about taking cross channel ferries to the country.

"Many resorts received up to 15cm of fresh snow last week. On Thursday, La Rosière woke to 10cm, while Chamrousse, Courchevel and Val Thorens received 8cm, 6cm and 5cm respectively," it stated.

The newspaper added that the snow has been seen across the continent and has even headed into Italy and Austria.

Attractions which can be visited by people taking ferries to France include the Musée de Poupées or Museum of dolls in the historic town of Josselin in Brittany, which has a range of toys from around the world.
