Dunkerque ferries: Berlin can be romantic location

People taking ferries to Dunkerque can continue their European adventure and head onto Berlin where they can spend some time in one of the most romantic locations in the world, according to one newspaper.

The Times reported that Berlin can be a great place to take a loved one for a romantic weekend away, with restaurants like Grill Royal offering great food and wine.

"End the weekend with a gentle cruise along the River Spree on one of the sightseeing boats moored around Museum Island," it stated.

The newspaper added that couples should order glasses of some sparkly wine because the combination of bubbles, fresh air and the beautiful buildings rolling by will put them in a romantic mood.

Jonathan Cudworth, director of product management at Expedia EMEA, said that Berlin is attracting hoards of holidaymakers because of its good value for money.
