People taking ferries to Dunkerque are travelling to a country which still offers people the chance to experience a value-for-money break, according to one expert.Bob Atkinson, travel expert from travel-supermarket.com, said that hotels in euro zone countries have re-scaled their prices to become more competitive in the current economic climate.
"In terms of getting good value when you buy what's happened with the euro is a lot of European destinations have re-priced as they've seen a drop off in traffic," he stated.
The expert added that European destinations have very good exchange rates, which could attract people considering taking a ferry to Dunkerque or France.
Flanders may be one place the UK vacationers visit and it is a region that has plenty of activities nearby as well as beautiful medieval architecture, according to Reuters, which said that Ghent in particular has lots of cultural treats for holidaymakers to enjoy.
