Ferries to Dunkerque: Alps see good snowfall

27.01.2010
People taking ferries to Dunkerque in the northern Alps are close to exceptional skiing facilities, according to one firm, which said that across Europe, vacationers can find challenging runs.

Ski Club stated that reps from 35 of its resorts have reported that all over France and into Austria there is a covering of the white stuff, which is perfect for those who enjoy flying down off-piste routes.

"With the UK blanketed in snow, it is a similar picture across Europe with nearly all ski resorts reporting outstanding conditions. Reps describe the snow as "superb" and "the best of the season so far"," it stated.

Those considering taking ferries to Dunkerque in order to go on skiing breaks could be interested by the good snowfall which the organisation reported.

In other news, the Daily Telegraph reported that France has around 500 quality resorts, including some in the northern Alps, which are well served by good public transport and remain popular with skiers from the UK.
