Ferries to Dunkerque: Great horse riding awaits French holidaymakers
22.03.2010
People taking ferries to Dunkerque who love life in the saddle are heading to the perfect country, according to one newspaper. The Guardian"s Kevin Rushby reported that he and his family had a brilliant time while on a riding holiday in Provence and he even managed to get over his fear of horses.
"It"s an impressive sight: the dozen horses, manes and tails in motion, all cantering through the forest, the dog barking at their heels," he stated.
The writer added that his young daughters enjoyed the trip and had the chance to compare French horse-riding techniques with English ones.
Mr Rushby"s riding guide, Denis Longfellow, considered that many people get into the pastime as they reach middle age, after they have got enough time riding.
People already looking to book a ferry to France for next year"s ski season can stay with Rude Chalets, which were recently recommended by the Evening Standard.
