Ferries to France close to favourite landmark

People taking ferries to france are close to one of the world"s most iconic landmarks, according to one survey, which asked vacationers what they remembered most about holidays they have had.

Hotels.com asked travellers which landmarks were most iconic to them and found that almost one in six said the Eiffel Tower, making it the stand out winner.

"This survey shows that the pull of famous landmarks is so strong that many people travel to a place especially to see them. These buildings really do have a hold on our imaginations ... the Eiffel Tower is a clear winner among travellers globally," said, Alison Couper, communications director for Hotels.com.

Other iconic buildings and structures on the list included the Taj Mahal, Golden Gate Bridge and Empire State Building.

The Exeter Express and Echo recently commented on the picturesque beauty of Brittany and said that it is easily accessible area, especially via ferry from the south coast of England.
