Ferries to France could be passport to the slopes

People taking ferries to france could soon be on the slopes of a wide variety of ski resorts which are dotted around the north of the country, according to one newspaper.The Daily Telegraph reported that France has around 500 quality resorts including some in the northern Alps which are well served by good public transport and remain popular with skiers from the UK.
It stated: "Food on the mountain and in the villages is typically excellent, there"s plenty of lively après-ski and the choice of chalets is unparalleled, thanks to France"s enduring popularity with British skiers."
The newspaper added that resorts like Espace Killy, Les Trois Vallées, Paradiski and Portes du Soleil are among the best areas for skiing in the country.
Tim Holmes, manager of the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show, recently said that people skiing in France can experience the "alpine charm" of the country"s snow-covered peaks.
