Ferries to France near to historic town

Holidaymakers taking ferries to france are close to a town which is packed full of activities for visitors to enjoy, according to one newspaper.The Daily Telegraph"s Simon Winder reported that Quedlinburg has been fought over many times through the ages and once helped to support nuns who worshipped in the town.
He reported: "The rambling street pattern, the beauty of the countless, red-roofed half-timbered houses and, of course, the "pocket Schloss" perched on its hill with a beautiful Romanesque abbey, like something made from children"s bricks."
The writer added that Heinrich Himmler once converted the town"s church into an SS temple and now there is a museum which remembers the war time period of the town"s history.
In other news, the Daily Mail recently reported that Cologne and Berlin have markets which are packed with different features for vacationers to enjoy and explore.
