28.10.2009
People taking ferries to france may want to visit a wildlife park which has been described as a haven for animals and a must see for anyone heading to Brittany.Parc Aquanature Le Stérou is around half an hour from the Breton coast and is described as an unspoilt retreat by its website.
It stated: "The 70 hectares are home to more than 140 stags and deer, living as free as they would have done before man pitched up and built roads and sports centres."
Another must-see part of the park is the spawning of salmons in the winter which the website said shows that the enclosure is committed to maintaining traditional practices and encouraging nature to thrive.
As well as the nature park there are also a variety of towns dotted around Brittany, such as Auray, which can provide holidaymakers with plenty of activities to keep them busy including walks and the remains of a castle, according to the Wall Street Journal.
