Ferries to France: Great cabaret can still be found in Paris
24.11.2009
People taking ferries to france who want to find a genuinely good cabaret show in Paris will be able to find some entertaining performers if they are prepared to search, according to one expert.Travel writer Dea Birkett told the Guardian that the spirit of famous burlesque performers like Josephine Baker can still be found in Paris at venues like Crazy Horse.
She said: "I adore cabaret - the heady mix of hip-swinging, scantily-clad performers, camp costumes and comedy, all addictively irreverent and self-deprecating. Cabaret takes nothing seriously, not even itself."
The writer added that all the dancers at the Crazy Horse venue are classically-trained ballerinas and can provide people taking ferries to France with the chance to see some avant-garde performers.
Travellers visiting Paris this Christmas will have the chance to see a light show on the Eiffel Tower which runs throughout December.
