Ferries to France: Paris is great scooter city
06.11.2009
People taking ferries to france could be tempted to visit to a city which is brilliant to ride around on a scooter, according to one travel writer who said all the major sights can be taken in at the same time. The Metro"s Emma Field visited Paris on a Vespa scooter and reported on the speed with which the capital can be looked around on the small vehicles.
She said: "I"ve visited Paris a few times and, while the sights of this chic city never dull, shuttling between them on an undeniably cool Vespa casts a quirky new perspective on old favourites, as well as introducing more offbeat attractions."
The city"s notorious traffic is not actually that bad, according to the writer who said apart from roads around big attractions like the Arc de Triomphe, the city is easy to navigate.
Marie Claire recently said that the Renoir exhibition at the Grand Palais on the Champs-Elysees is a treat for art enthusiasts and contains over 100 pieces of his work.
