Golf outings, which could involve a ferry trip to France, remain popular for businesspeople looking to network, an expert asserts.Robert Grede, president of the Grade Company, claims that men and women are continuing to take to the course despite the downturn, which could include overseas trips, Sales and Marketing reports.
He says it particularly appeals to people involved in business, as it provides the opportunity to get to know a client over an extended period of time.
"Golf is also a great way to relieve stress, a great getaway from life. And it remains a fun way to spend an afternoon," he tells the website.
Mr Grede suggests that the sport continues to attract players who appreciate the etiquette and courtesy it involves, which could lead people to take a ferry trip to France to play a few holes.
According to Golf Europe, France offers travellers more than 400 courses to try out their skills.
