Hop on a ferry to France for great theme parks
14.04.2009
Travellers wanting to explore great theme parks on holiday only need to hop on a ferry to france with their family.Peter Laing, writing for Scotland on Sunday, says France has more to offer than Disneyland Paris, with other areas of the country having a different twist on the attractions.
In particular the writer recommends Futuroscope for pre-teen kids, as it is a hands-on fun place.
Mr Laing advises setting aside two days to explore the expanse of attractions, adding that younger children will be more than happy to play in the Children"s World for this time.
Another, more gorey, attraction recommended is the Puy du Fou, near the coastline of Vendee, which charts the history of violence.
The park sees people acting out scenes of Vikings, medieval knights and musketeers at battle, which is sure to please the kids.
Advice website TravelBite.co.uk recently advised a trip to Disneyland, and so any theme park, should be well planned to avoid the longest queues.
