Britons yearning for an adrenaline-charged break should head to France. Those with a passion for winter sports can take part in ice diving at the Val d"ISere resort, reports Travelbite.co.uk.
According to the website, this is an activity which can keep snow loving Britons happy long after the ski season ends.
Lake Montrionod provides the perfect setting for ice diving, with qualified guides on hand to talk novices through the daredevil sport.
Brave holidaymakers can plunge into the water, which is up to 19 metres deep, allowing them to see a fantastic underground world, the website explains.
Dives take place daily by experts, with prices starting from 55 euros (£50).
Recently, Betony Garner, spokesperson for the Ski Club of Great Britain, commented that Britons are being attracted to winter sports breaks in France thanks to heavy snowfall this year.
She claimed that the Alps and Pyernees regions are enjoying particularly strong conditions.
