Julian Fellowes: Paris is a varied and beautiful city

12.11.2009
People heading on ferries to france will find Paris is a beautiful city which is extremely varied, according to one fan of the area.

Julian Fellowes, the actor, novelist and screenwriter, said that the city is his favourite, as you cannot get bored on a long break but a day-trip still makes you feel as if you have been on holiday.

Among his recommendations is the Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche, which is interesting but will not break the bank.

As for day trips, Fellowes suggested the Musée Nissim de Camondo, which is the former home of a Jewish family who were sent to Auschwitz, and the Carnavalet Musée de l"Histoire de Paris, which has a collection of pieces from the French Revolution.

Those who travel on ferries to France will also be spoilt for choice food-wise, as there are a great number of good restaurants for all budgets.

Later this month, people who have travelled on ferries to France can catch the Paris Photo event, which celebrates contemporary photography.ADNFCR-1871-ID-19457706-ADNFCR
