Nature lovers can take a ferry to france and embark on a trip to Holland"s Keukenhof Gardens in spring to see all the flowers in bloom.Having been in place since 1949, the famous gardens are the ideal location for a walk and to see the seven million bulbs burst into flower.
Displays are made even better by the fact that growers compete for the most attractive array of colours and varieties, with the flower beds being regularly tended, to ensure they are always looking their best.
Also on show for visitors are rhododendrons, Japanese cherry trees and azaleas, while large collections of orchids can be viewed in other areas of the parkland.
Visitors who have made the cross channel trip can while away hours in the gardens, with a number of cafes and eateries available for those who need a rest.
