Beer breaks for Brits in Belgium

11.08.2009
Belgium has long been renowned for the wealth of popular beers it produces and this remains right up to the present day.

Brits making the ferry trip to Belgium can see – and more importantly taste – for themselves why the country is so revered when it comes to all things hops.

The ideal place to find out about Belgian beer is the Cantillon Brewery in Brussels.

Here since 1900, drinks which have quenched the thirst of locals time and time again have been produced.

Holidaymakers travelling here will be able to take a tour around this famous establishment, with the entrance price of four euros (£3.40) also covering a beer tasting session which is sure to have them keen to head straight back on the ferry to Belgium once they get back to the UK.

As well as traditional brews, in the summer visitors can sup those with a more fruity taste, with cherry and raspberry flavours on offer.

Visitors to Belgium eager to learn more about the beverages produced there will want to stop off at the Museum of Belgian Brewers, which is found in Brussels.ADNFCR-1871-ID-19307498-ADNFCR
