Brits keen to experience chocolate heaven will want to head on a ferry to Belgium, according to a source.Once there, holidaymakers can travel to Bruges, where they will find streets filled with the smell of Belgian chocolate and beer, reports Paul Cole, writing for the Sunday Mercury.
However, he claims that while these are "not a bad diversion", they are not the main reasons to come to this destination.
Mr Cole says the location is full of heritage and culture, with canals, medieval streets and buildings providing plenty for visitors to enjoy once they have filled their belly with superb chocolate and beer.
He recommends the view of the city which is on offer for those climbing the Markt"s belfry, adding that in the surrounding area there are all kinds of galleries, bars and museums.
The writer goes on to say that not only will Brits find fantastic confectionary and beer, they will also be able to sample some of the finest chips that they will taste thanks to its museum devoted to fries.
While in Bruges, holidaymakers could opt to take in the soothing sounds of Jazz Brugge, which is held in October.
