Antwerp set for tennis tournament

Sports fans may want to book their ferry trip to Antwerp early as the city gets ready to welcome the world"s finest tennis players.The Proximus Diamond Games will see numerous world-famous female faces battle it out to be crowned champion.
As part of the Sony Ericsson WTA tour, the event has attracted the likes of Venus Williams, Amelie Mauresmo and Justine Henin in recent years, with the latter taking the 2008 crown.
Organiser Bob Verbeeck revealed around 100,000 spectators made the journey to the tournament last year.
Tennis enthusiasts should book their ferry trip to Belgium in time for the first match, which is due to get underway in February.
For those travelling to Antwerp later in the year, the city"s beach is open from June until September and has been dubbed "a mecca" for those who love the sand, with numerous activities, bars and restraints lining its dunes.
