Belgium funfair offers 'unique attractions'

01.12.2008
Britons looking for a Christmas break with a difference could opt for a ferry to Belgium to visit an action-packed adventure park.

The Winterfoor funfair offers something for all the family, young and old, according to its website.

Vintage engineering is on display on every turn at the complex, with several lovely crafted rides dating back as far as the 1920s.

According to its website, the fair is a "party which everybody joins in" and it can act as a remedy for those feeling the stress of the post-Christmas sales by "relieving the spirits".

The park can be reached via a ferry to Flanders and features a 1928 swan mill, which it describes as "very unique because of its Art-deco paintings".

Meanwhile, the 1936 caterpillar was built by the Mercks family, who toured the country with the amusement up until the 1990s.

Elsewhere, there are numerous other attractions for those choosing to take ferry trips to Belgium this Christmas, including several festive markets.ADNFCR-1871-ID-18905295-ADNFCR
