Cirque du Soleil visits Belgium

Fans of performing arts and the circus will be pleased to know that the world-famous troupe, Cirque du Soleil, is hitting Belgium from the end of October until December 7th.With its newest show, Quidam, the Montreal-based entertainment company will appear at the Brussels Kart Expo in its ninth production which follows a lonely man, combining music, dance and daring acrobatics during his journey into the unknown.
Describing the term Quidam, Cirque du Soleil explained: "It could be anyone, anybody. Someone coming, going, living in our anonymous society. A member of the crowd, one of the silent majority. The one who cries out, sings and dreams within us all."
Tricks on display will include aerial contortion using hanging silk as well as precarious balance work in both solo and group efforts.
Cirque du Soleil was established in Quebec in 1984 by Guy Laliberte and Daniel Gaulthier and is noted for its celebration of music by the Beatles with LOVE.
The show was born out of a personal friendship between the circus" creator and George Harrison.
