27.11.2009
People taking ferries to Dunkerque could continue their trip to Flanders where there is a fashion event which sees top-class clothes sold at knock-down prices.Modo Bruxellae is held at Brussels" Palace and the event"s organisers claim that fashionistas can get a bargain at the annual sale.
"Belgian fashion designers sell their creations at reduced prices during the two-day sale. Fashionistas are sure to bag a bargain and there"ll really be no excuse for not having anything to wear," stated the event"s website.
Designers who will be at the event include Carine Gilson, Cathy Pill, Christophe Coppens, Conni Kaminski, Grils From Omsk, Idiz Bogam, Isabelle Baines and Jessie Lecomte.
Antwerp"s fashion star rose to prominence in the 80s with the emergence of six designers, namely Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs and Marina Yee, who went onto dominate the fashion world with their avant-garde designs.
