Musical treats in Belgium

Music lovers may wish to take a ferry to Belgium this year as a host of events take place throughout the country.Brussels is set to host one of the country"s largest showcases in May, as the Jazz Marathon gets underway.
With an array of modern, traditional and Latin-influenced performers set to take to the stage, the three-day extravaganza is sure to offer fans of the genre a feast for the eyes and ears.
More than 50 venues take part in the proceedings, with around 450 artists playing at 125 concerts.
Also in May, the Botanical Nights festival, which includes acts from the rock, electronic, reggae and jazz genres, takes place in Brussels.
If this does not sound appealing, the month also sees a one-day event take place in Leuven in which music is just one of many forms of entertainment on show.
The World Festival involves street performance, food stands, stalls and singers from around the globe.
