Belgium"s Leuven will be home to the International Short Film Festival at the end of November, undoubtedly tempting all fans of the silver screen.Beginning as a one-day festival on December 11th 1995, the premier Flemish film event has gradually built up over the years, introducing awards in 1997, the festival"s third year.
Now celebrating its 14th year, the festival hopes to show between 250 and 300 short films from around the world, with ferry users more than welcome to enjoy the films and vote for their favourite entries.
Flemish and European short film competitions are the most important facets of the Leuven event as it serves as the main platform for future international filmmakers from the Flemish-speaking region to show off their skills.
This year"s spectacular will take place between November 29th and December 6th.
According to the film festival"s website, Leuven is perhaps most famous for the largest brewery in the world, INBEV, where Stella Artois is brewed.
