19.02.2010
Those taking a ferry to france should consider heading to Champagne, as the famous wine region has retained its sparkle over the years, one source has said.George Hunter, writing for Manchester Confidential, said that going on a trip to Champagne and sampling the world-famous produce gives people a true taste of France.
He recently took a wine-tasting trip to the region along with some friends and said they all found the experience to be truly memorable and found out more about the wine and the region in the process.
"I was enthralled by it as Moet et Chandon senior sommelier Marc Servan presided over our private tasting, following a tour of the miles of cellars carved into the chalk under the house"s historic headquarters in Epernay," Mr Hunter explained.
Recently, Armand de Brignac has recently been voted the best Champagne in the world by Fine Champagne magazine following a poll which involved 1,000 of the world"s top wine critics and sommeliers.
