Athletes to compete in Brussels
06.08.2009
Last summer one man at the Beijing Olympics more than any other symbolised the feats that can be achieved with hard work and plenty of talent. That man was 100 and 200 metre gold medal winner Usain Bolt.
However, now his crown is under threat and those heading on a ferry to Belgium later this year will be able to see whether he can retain his place as the fastest man on the planet.
On September 4th, the athlete will come up against US rival Tyson Gay, who has clocked up the fastest times so far this season.
The pair will compete in Brussels in a 100 metre contest to determine just who is king when it comes to this event, making for spectacular entertainment for those making the ferry crossing to Belgium.
Brits who are making this journey may want to do so a little earlier so they can enjoy the Belgian Grand Prix, which takes place on August 30th.
Visitors to the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps could be in for a treat as seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher could be in action as he steps in for the injured Felipe Massa, while Briton Jenson Button will be looking to cement his place at the top of the leaderboard with a win.
