One of Japan"s most well-known comic actors has decided to host an art exhibition in Paris, which could be an ideal trip for people taking ferries to Dunkerque. The exhibition, which is called Gosse de Peintre, or The Painter"s Kid, will be held at the Centre Pompidou and will also host a retrospective of the actor"s work, as well as his paintings.
"A selection of Kitano"s paintings, which he began producing after a serious motorbike crash in 1994, are on display at Paris" Fondation Cartier, along with videos, objects and installations," Time magazine stated.
The publication added that Kitano finds the attention quite amusing and said that when he first started painting he thought he might become the next Vincent van Gogh.
Another star who recently tried his hand at painting was Lars Ulrich from the metal band Metallica. He sold his work alongside paintings by luminaries such as Jean Michel Basquait.
