Brits looking to mark their holiday with trips to some top classical music events will want to jump on a ferry to Belgium this summer. From August 28th until September 11th, Brussels will host the Klara Festival.
Visitors here will be able to take in performances from some fantastic orchestras, individuals and groups.
Among those confirmed to appear are the Seoul Philharmonic, Sunwook Kim, Quartetto di Cremona, the Jan Lundgren Trio and Bobo Stenson.
Not only that, but visitors will also be able to sit in on special workshops and sessions.
Later in the year classical festival fun returns to Brussels thanks to Europalia.
Held between October 8th and February 14th, this arts event sees film screenings, performances and exhibitions take place throughout the city, meaning those taking a ferry trip to the country will find plenty to keep them occupied.
This year will mark the festival"s 40th anniversary and the theme of China will be at the centre of much of the proceedings, with its organisers saying that the fascination with the Middle Kingdom has "never been stronger".
