Cross channel ferries: Rock festival offers unique experience
24.02.2010
People choosing to take cross channel ferries will be in a country hosting one of Europe"s best music festivals, according to one newspaper, which said it is perfect for those who love hard rock. The Guardian compared the French event Hellfest with the UK"s own Download Festival and said that there is a vast range of bands to see in a breathtaking setting.
"Like all good metal festivals Hellfest takes place in the kind of spooky European forest you can imagine orcs cavorting in. It"s a pretty broad church too," it reported.
This year"s event sees acts such as Twisted Sister rub alongside more credible artists like Seven Seconds and Agnostic Front when it kicks off in the town of Clisson.
Another music event that is taking place in France this year is Gilles Peterson"s Worldwide Festival which will play host to artists such as Gil Scott Heron and Diplo.
