Culinary festivals coming to France
24.07.2009
Visitors to France over the next few months will be able to treat their palate to a range of tastes thanks to some of the country"s many events devoted to food. There will be something for everyone, with the Apple and Farm Food Market, which is held on the first Sunday of each month at St Opportune la Mare, offering guests the flavours of the region, thanks to the presence of all kinds of locally-produced goods, from cheese to cider and a whole lot inbetween.
Those looking for a very different type of event devoted to French delicacies will want to visit Le Mans in September for the Onion Fair.
Here, visitors will find numerous varieties of the pungent foodstuff which will leave them full up for the day, if also a little watery-eyed.
If products which leave a taste in your mouth for hours to come are those which you adore, those taking a ferry trip to France for a spot of food tourism will want to stop off at the Garlic Festival in Arlux, which is held at the beginning of September.
