Eco event on the way in France
23.07.2009
Eco-conscious Brits can learn more about environmental issues by taking a ferry to france later this year.Green issues will be at the heart of the Biobernai 09 event, which is held between September 11th and 13th in Obernai.
Key themes of this year"s festival include climate change, food and biodiversity and land management.
Talks and lessons on these topics, and many more, will be delivered through a series of workshops and seminars.
These include practical sessions which will allow children to enjoy a hands on experience of creating items from stone, wood, metal and earth, while also developing skills such as weaving.
Conferences on biodiversity and other eco issues will also run throughout the three days, ensuring that those taking the ferry trip to France for this event return to the UK fully clued-up when it comes to all things green.
Those keen to experience exhibitions of a different kind could choose from the likes of Grand Pavois, which sees hundreds of nautical experts head to Port des Minimes every September, and the International Geography festival, which takes place each October in Saint Die des Vosges.
