Events for culture vultures in Belgium

Belgium is renowned for its delicious chocolates and beer, however, visitors over the next few months will be able to enjoy the cultural side of the country.Between now and the end of the year all kinds of artistic shows will be held.
One such event is the Young Belgian Painters Awards, which is open now and runs until September 13th.
Here, visitors making the ferry trip to Belgium will be able to see work from some of the finest artists coming out of the country.
After enjoying pieces by talented up-and-comers, those on a break in Brussels may want to visit the Metro Art Memory, which takes place at the STIB Headquarters until September 26th.
This exhibition showcases work by everyone from Pierre Alechinsky to Paul Delvaux, both of whom could show the freshly emerging talent on the scene a thing or two.
From here, holidaymakers who have made the ferry trip to Belgium may want to head on to Urban Expressions, which is held in Place Flagey on September 27th and exhibits artists of a whole other kind, with rappers, beat boxers and dancers among those strutting their staff for audiences.
