Fantastic art in France

Brits keen to sample breathtaking artwork need look no further than a ferry trip to France this summer.Until August 10th visitors can marvel at the wonders created by the renowned Vassili Kandinsky.
The artist is seen as one of the 20th century"s most important and influential artists and his work will be on show at the Pompidou.
Around 100 of Kandinsky"s paintings will be available for viewing by those making the ferry crossing to france, with an emphasis placed on the Impressions and the Improvisations.
Works on loan from all over the world will be on display, including those which usually reside in Munich and New York.
After marveling at some wondrous artwork, Brits on a ferry break in France may want to take in some expression of a different kind by heading to the International Marionnette Festival.
Holidaymakers will be able to see some of the world"s top puppeteers and the fantastically entertaining puppets that they control by travelling to Mirepoix between August 6th until the 9th when this off-the-wall celebration takes place.
