Ferries to Dunkerque: International film festivals come to Normandy

Vacationers taking ferries to Dunkerque could continue their trip to Normandy where a pair of film festivals are taking place bringing cinema from neighbouring Germany and Russia.Pete on the Way to Heaven, Miracle, One War and Tsar are among the movies being shown at the Russian Film Festival and German Film Festival, which are taking place in Normandy this winter.
The event"s website stated: "See a great selection of new and older German films, screened at the Odeon in Cherbourg-Octeville in Normandy. The German Film Festival features documentaries, past gems as well as avant-premieres."
The German festival will also feature films starring Johanna Wokalek and Nadja Uhl who both appeared in last year"s Baader Meinhof Complex, which focused on the story of the Red Army Faction terrorist group that operated in Germany from the late 60s until the 90s.
Franka Potente, Julia Jentsch, Moritz Bliebtreu and Friedrich Hans Ulrich Mühe are all appearing in films which are screening at the German festival.
