A British author has spoken about the great time she had while spending a holiday near Provence villas in her youth and her comments could inspire those considering taking ferries to France.Philippa Gregory told the Times that she loved her time in France and spent most of her time travelling the country sampling local wine and cuisine. "Every day, we took the train to different parts of the Camargue, where we’d ride across the salt flats, looking out for flamingos and wild horses. Then, we'd take our lunch and relax on the beach in the afternoons," she stated. The author of "The White Queen" and "A Respectable Trade" added that she loved her time spent swimming and horse riding in France.
In other news, the Daily Telegraph's Anthony Peregrine recently reported on the trend for French restaurants in particular to reduce their prices, in a bid to encourage more people to try out their establishments and buy their produce.
