Ferries to France: Franz Ferdinand come to Lille

Art rockers Franz Ferdinand are bringing their brand of post-punk to France and people taking ferries across the channel could be tempted to pop along to the three shows they are playing there.The Glaswegian quartet have built up a strong following since their 2004 self-titled debut record and are now playing songs of their new work Tonight, which has produced hit singles No You Girls and Ulysses.
Lead singer Alex Kapranos, who recently produced a record for The Cribs, will stand centre stage for dates in Bordeaux on November 30th, Paris" Le Zenith on the 26th and the northern most gig in Rennes at Le Liberte on the 28th.
The band will continue their tour through Europe and pay trips to Portugal, Spain and Italy.
Franz Ferdinand have spoken about how they were influenced by the Scottish band Orange Juice, whose lead singer, Edwyn Collins has recently recovered from a brain haemorrhage and started recording music again.
