08.09.2009
With the air turning decidedly chillier and the sun retreating, Brits would be forgiven for believing that the festival season was well and truly over for another year. However, nothing could be further from the truth just across the Channel, with those heading on a short ferry hop to France able to enjoy all kinds of musical treats.
Those doing so between September 24th and 26th can soak up the sights and sounds of Marsatac, where top up-and-coming and established stars from numerous genres gather to put on shows for visitors.
Performers from the rap, indie, electronica and jazz fields are among those that will wow audiences during this event.
Meanwhile, between September 11th and 26th, the Besancon International Music Festival will see dozens of shows put on throughout beautiful churches and halls in the region.
Elsewhere, holidaymakers taking the ferry to france can enjoy the Music September Orne Festival, which runs until the 27th of the month and will feature everything from chamber performers to traditional Spanish groups.
