24.08.2009
With Cannes still the best part of a year away film fans would be forgiven for thinking that there is not a whole lot going on in the art that they love in the final months of 2009.However, those in the know will be jumping on the ferry to Belgium as a whole host of top events take place before Christmas.
First up is Elles tournent! Brussels" Women"s Film Festival.
There is no doubt that there are some things that females outperform their male counterparts in, and visitors to this event will be able to see if movie making is another one that the fairer sex can add to the list, with dozens of superb features screened for those taking the ferry to Belgium to enjoy.
The film fun continues the following month, as the Cinema Festival of Freedom takes place between October 22nd and 31st.
Here, visitors can see movies with the theme of the freedom that individuals are afforded in the free world, with all kinds of genres represented.
Finally, October also sees Pink Screens at Cinema Nova, where the best of the gay movie industry gathers to enjoy more superb features and shorts.
