French sporting feast on the way

Top sporting events are coming thick and fast in France this summer, meaning those keen to catch some awe-inspiring action should hop on a cross-Channel ferry.Those doing so will be able to see all kinds of competitions, with the prestigious Tour de France race drawing to a close later this month.
Meanwhile, some of the world"s finest female golfers will head to France in July to compete in the LPGA Evian Masters.
The 72-hole tournament takes place at the Domaine du Royal Club Evian and is sure to keep those who have their appetites whetted by this week"s Open satisfied.
However, those heading on the ferry to france later in the summer need not worry, as there is plenty to keep them occupied as well.
In August, the country"s football season kicks off for the new campaign.
Visitors to France in August will be able to catch mouth-watering ties such as last year"s champions Bordeaux taking on Lens, heavyweights Lyon travelling to Le Mans and Marseille facing Lille.
Other events in France this summer include the International Mont Dore Car Race and the Normandy Horse Show.
