22.07.2009
Brits eager to experience some extreme sports while on holiday will want to take the ferry over to France later this year.Between September 17th and 20th, the Icarus Cup takes place in Saint Hilarie du Trovet, with participants taking to the sky on hang and paragliders.
Those keen to enjoy a rather more relaxing break could instead choose to watch the hot air balloons and kites that soar above the clouds as part of the event.
As well as this, visitors will be able to see stunt displays and professional demonstrations, making their trip to France a holiday to remember.
Those who prefer waterways to the sky may want to head to the Inter Island Windsurf Race.
Dozens of competitors take to the water each year for this event, providing an excellent spectacle for onlookers.
Meanwhile, those who are very much more at home on dry land can instead opt for a trip to Renne"s Horse, Donkey and Pony fair, where they will find all things equestrian at the La Prevalay sports centre.
