Musical treats coming up in Belgium
12.08.2009
With the festival season set to wind down as the summer draws to a close Brits could be forgiven for thinking that is the end of their musical fun for another year. However, those heading on a ferry to Belgium can keep the party going as the country continues to put on events even as the winter nears.
On September 27th, Place Flagey will be rocking thanks to the Urban Expressions celebration.
Visitors to Belgium for this event will find the streets filled with entertainment, with everything from rappers, beat-boxers and break dancers wowing the crowds.
Those looking for something a little more refined could instead opt to visit the Bruges Festival of World Music, which takes place between November 7th and 11th.
As the name suggests, this event brings sights and sounds from all over the planet to Bruges, with something for all tastes on offer.
The fun does not end there though, with events such as I Love Techo, held in November at the Flanders Expo, and the Skoda Jazz Festival, which takes place from the end of September through to mid December, coming to Belgium in the coming months.
