Romantic French festival on the way
27.07.2009In Marlenheim on August 14th and 15th, street parades take place to mark love and all of its finer attributes.
The festival"s Alsace location means that an array of beautiful wines are used to toast this occasion.
Stemming from a group"s decision to celebrate the marriage of Ami Fritz, which was inspired by a novel, the event takes time out to once again mark this matrimony and that of love and devotion in general.
After enjoying this festival, loved-up Brits who have taken the ferry trip to France may then want to head on to Musicales en Auxious.
This sees music fill the Burgundy region as it celebrates its rich heritage and history.
Churches, abbeys and chateaux are among the venues which welcome visitors and performers between August 1st and 15th.
This year, when the event marks its 15th anniversary, the sounds of traditional Turkey, opera and jazz will be on offer for attendees.
