Top tennis coming to France

Brits who are still hungry for more tennis action after the Grand Slams for 2009 draw to a close can head on a ferry to france to catch what is sure to be a scintillating sports event.Between October 19th and 25th, the Open Orleans Tennis Tournament takes place.
Coming between the US Open, which is held in September, and next January"s Australian Open, this competition will ensure that Brits aching for some top action can find it by just taking a short ferry crossing.
As part of the ATP Tour, the event has attracted some fantastic players over the years, with recent winners including Nicolas Mahut, Olivier Rochus and Cyril Saulnier.
The competition takes place on hard clay courts and is expected to have a purse of more than 100,000 euros (£86,000).
After taking in some top tennis action, Brits on breaks in France may then want to travel on to Magny Cours in October for a very different kind of event.
Here visitors will be able to enjoy the final round of the Superbike World Championship.
