Cross channel ferries could help with property search
25.02.2010
People taking cross channel ferries could be one step closer to buying a foreign property, according to one expert, who said that more people are considering investing in a holiday home.Adam Samuel, director at Nubricks.com, said that the positive figures from Primelocation"s property survey should be taken with a pinch of salt, but he believes more vacationers are thinking about it.
"Searches are definitely up in a lot of parts [of the world], but we need to be cautious about what that means in terms of actual recovery. A lot more people are looking at what is available and considering where to invest," he said.
The Primelocation survey showed that France is in the top ten foreign locations in which people are considering as a holiday home destination.
In other news, the BBC"s Kate Silverton gave her holiday advice to the Daily Telegraph recently and said that she had a brilliant time touring around countries and doing things on impulse, which could inspire people taking cross channel ferries.
